Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026

This policy covers Yingxia on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Mac, including TestFlight builds. Yingxia does not require a Yingxia account and does not use advertising or cross-app tracking.

Cloud files and third-party services

Cloud Files lets you browse Quark and UC drives and AList/OpenList servers without a TVBox subscription. Quark and UC require their own sign-in. AList/OpenList authentication depends on the server you choose. Baidu and Aliyun are not direct Cloud Files browsers in this beta.

Provider sign-in information and saved server connections are stored on your device. When you sign in, browse folders or open media, the app sends requests to the selected provider or server. These requests can include authentication information, requested paths and file identifiers. Media is fetched from that service or the media address it supplies. The service receives network information such as your IP address and applies its own privacy policy. Sign-in information is not included in the app's automatic error reports.

Data stored on your device

Settings, saved connections, subscriptions, favorites, playback history and downloads are stored locally. The app uses app preferences, file metadata and available disk space to manage its own files, caches and downloads. It uses system boot information locally to distinguish a device restart from an unexpected app exit. It does not send the system boot time in error reports.

You can sign out of providers, remove saved servers and clear history or downloads using the app's available controls. Removing a connection does not delete files held by the provider. Manage your provider account and its data with that provider.

Error and crash reports

By default, release builds send error and crash diagnostics to the developer's reporting service at yingxia-reports.getmegaportal.com to investigate failures and improve reliability. You can turn this off in Settings by disabling Send Error Reports. Reporting is not used for advertising or tracking across other companies' apps or websites.

Reports include redacted error text, crash or unexpected-exit details, occurrence counts and times, app/build and system versions, device model, language, and a randomly generated installation ID. Unexpected-exit reports may include memory and general playback state. Web addresses are reduced to the scheme and server name; credentials, local home paths and private IP addresses are filtered before automatic reporting. Do not deliberately put private information in error or feedback text.

The random ID lets the developer associate reports from the same installation and, when you send in-app feedback, find its related errors. It is not your name or an Apple advertising identifier. The reporting server also records country information supplied by its hosting service. The application database does not store IP addresses; the hosting service processes network information to deliver requests and enforce rate limits. Report and feedback-association records are scheduled for deletion after 30 days.

Feedback you choose to send

The app's Send Feedback feature sends your message, app/system versions, device model, language and installation ID to the reporting service. Your message and those version/device details are published as an issue in the app's public GitHub repository. The installation ID stays with the reporting service and is not published in the issue. Do not include passwords, tokens, signed media links, private filenames or other personal information. Public GitHub issues remain subject to GitHub's policies and are not covered by the reporting database's 30-day cleanup.

Feedback sent through TestFlight is handled by Apple under TestFlight & Privacy and shared with the developer according to your submission.

Other app features

When you use a configured subscription, online catalog, live service or other network feature, the app contacts the service needed for that feature. That service can receive the requests and network information needed to respond. These features are outside the cloud-browsing beta's primary test scope but are subject to the same distinction between locally stored app data and requests sent to services you use.

Contact and changes

For privacy questions or a request concerning an existing report or public feedback issue, contact the developer through the Yingxia repository. Share only information you are comfortable making public; do not include credentials or private account details. This page will be updated when the app's data handling changes.
